Provenance

This box has not been written up, appraised or otherwise documented before. No purchase papers or provenance information were available. Dr. Heyer acquired the piece before he moved into his Austin house, which was in 1964, so he knows that he has had it for 48-50 years. He believes that he has the original invoice for it, but that would be in Austin and he won't be there until October. He will look for it when he gets back. The piece was acquired about 40 years ago at a gallery in San Francisco.
