Member Exhibition Tickets: What to Expect


Because of pandemic safety measures and limited capacities, members are highly encouraged to get tickets online in advance, before arriving at the Museum. Ticket availability cannot be guaranteed for drop-in visits.

Members have access to free tickets. The number of complimentary tickets is based on level of membership. Free member tickets are good for one-time use during the run of the exhibition. For assistance, email membership@mfah.org or call 713.639.7550 Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ticket Exchanges
Select your date and visit time carefully, as tickets cannot be exchanged because of the low capacity available as a result of the pandemic. To allow as many guests and members as possible to experience the exhibition, tickets that have been issued, but not used, will not be replaced.

Additional “Member Guest” Tickets
Members may purchase additional tickets at a reduced rate.

Entry Times
Tickets are available in timed increments. The entry time is listed on your ticket, and you may enter at any time within that period. Capacity is limited beause of pandemic safety measures, and late arrivals may result in loss of entry. Ticket exchanges are not available. Please note the Museum’s operating hours when selecting your entry time.

Tickets to Ernesto Neto are available in 15-minute increments. The entry time is listed on your ticket, and you may enter at any time within that 15-minute period. The nature of this exhibition allows for only a limited number of visitors at a time. 

Before getting tickets, please read these guidelines carefully:
All ticket holders may explore this special site-specific installation at ground level, which is wheelchair accessible. Guests may opt to enter the sculptural work’s pathways, which are suspended in mid-air. In addition to adhering to the Museum’s pandemic safety protocols, guests need to observe the following to enter this exhibition:
• Sign a waiver—available below and on-site.
• Confirm they are able to walk without assistance.
• Wear socks; no shoes or bare feet allowed.
• Be at least 3.5 feet tall (42 inches).
• Confirm they are age 6 or older.
• Have one adult for every two minors between the ages of 6 and 12 in the group. Adults must accompany children at all times.
• Access the pathway without babies, including in carriers or strollers.
• Use sensible judgment at all times when on the pathway, especially if using cameras, smartphones, etc.
• Only small cross-body bags may be worn; purses and bags over the shoulder and back are not allowed. A locker will be provided to you and individuals in your party.
• Avoid wearing loose jewelry, which can potentially tangle with the surfaces of the pathways.
