Portfolio Competition

New for 2020: Digital Portfolio Competition
The Glassell Junior School now offers scholarships through digital portfolio competition to elementary, middle, and high school students. Scholarship awards are for one weekly class beginning with the fall semester in September 2020. Classes are available after school, Monday through Thursday; and also on Saturday and Sunday. Scholarship students may pick the class in their age group that best fits their schedules.

Scholarships for the 2020–21 School Year
Actual student artwork is not accepted this year—the competition is through digital work only.

• Students may apply on Friday, March 6, 2020, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Glassell Junior School, 5101 Montrose Boulevard.

• Good quality images of 8 to 10 pieces of original student work must be submitted on a flash drive or CD. Students should include only their best and most recent work, completed in the previous 18 months.

• The application (below) must be included with your flash drive or CD. Forms must be filled out completely and legibly. Incomplete applications, and those with an insufficient number of images, will not be considered. If you are a current Junior School student, please check with your instructor for any additional requirements.

Portfolio reviews and flash-drive pickups have been delayed. Winners are to be notified by mail, by the end of May. Flash-drive pick-up dates are pending, so please check back. Please do not call the school office for names of winners. For additional assistance, email Pam Perez at pperez@mfah.org or call the Junior School office at 713.639.7700.
