  4. Frequently Asked Questions: School Tours

    A maximum of two chaperones per every 10 students may shadow a docent-guided group. Please avoid bringing extra chaperones. Where can we eat lunch? Guided tours last approximately one hour.  For tours of exhibitions, contact the email address above. How long will my visit last?Both guided and self-guided tours are booked for one hour in the Museum within a specific timeframe (e.g., 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.).

  10. Self-Guided Visits for Pre-K to 12th Grade

    At this time, the Museum is unable to provide docent-guided field lessons to non-district partners. Self-guided visits are perfect for teachers who want to lead their own tours of the Museum. These self-guided tours are always free with a reservation made at least two weeks in advance!  Student tours can be booked only through the Museum’s learning & interpretation department. Guided and self-guided tours have reached capacity for the 2023–24 academic year. Looking forward to seeing you next year!
