Houston collector Bill Perkins, who acquired the iconic 1976 painting The Sugar Shack at auction last month, has placed the work with the MFAH through December.

The MFAH and The Jewish Museum, New York, announce a partnership to establish an ongoing presence for Judaica in Houston, beginning in July 2022 with the MFAH exhibition Beauty and Ritual: Judaica from The Jewish Museum, New York.

June 6, 2022 - Reinstallation of MFAH Galleries for European Art
A major new reinstallation of 11 galleries for European art spans the Middle Ages through the 18th century, with art from northern and southern Europe as well as Central and South America. The interdisciplinary presentation features paintings, tapestries, sculpture, liturgical objects, and antiquities.
