Art Encounters | Ink Flow

Art Encounters

Looking for a new art experience? Drop in for the next Art Encounters program. Led by artists and inspired by art at the MFAH, Art Encounters focus on creating community. The way you participate is up to you! Take an active role, or simply observe.

This Art Encounters session invites you to collaborate in creating an ink drawing with inspiration from the work of artist Leslie Cuenca and the exhibition None Whatsoever: Zen Paintings from the Gitter-Yelen Collection.

Much like the artists featured in None Whatsoever, Cuenca uses ink to create black-and-white paintings. Tonight’s event begins with an optional mindfulness activity, followed by the drawing collaboration. The resulting work of art offers an exploration of lines and shapes influenced by contemplation and self-reflection.
