  3. Natural Melodies: Music for Touring Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens

    May 23, 2019 - Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. A Cultural Collaboration With inspiration from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, Bayou Bend now offers an audio tour that pairs 10 areas of the gardens with thoughtfully chosen pieces of classical music.

  7. Junior School Scholarships

    --> Outdoor Sketching Competition The Glassell Junior School offers scholarships for students ages 10 to 12 through a sketching competition. Winners are notified by mail no later than Friday, May 10, 2024. Please do not call for names of winners. Email juniorschool@mfah.org for additional assistance. 10 pieces of original student work must be submitted via email along with the application. Students should include only their best and most recent work, completed in the previous 18 months.

    • Dual ($135 MFAH members, $150 nonmembers) 20 free admissions (10 per person), plus additional benefits listed above.
