Punch Party at Home

#MFAHatHOME
Reserve your spot for “Punch Party at Home” hosted by Rienzi, the MFAH house museum for European decorative arts. This year, enjoy the annual party’s usual lineup virtually, and for free!

Live via Zoom / Friday, November 20, 2020 at 6 p.m.

• Music by Third Floor Strings
• A look at an 18th-century punch bowl with Christine Gervais, Rienzi’s director
• This delicious punch recipe from Harold Madison, the Museum’s event/beverage manager:

Rienzi’s Island Fog Punch
1.5 oz Jameson Whisky
.5 oz Peated Scotch Whisky
1.5 oz Grapefruit Juice
1 tbsp Molasses
Twinings English Breakfast Tea
Make a cup of tea, then mix the hot tea with the molasses to thin things out. Add the remainder of the ingredients to a punch bowl or pitcher. Add ice to cool. Garnish with orange slices and cinnamon sticks, or a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon. The subtle smoky hints, citrus flavors, earthy tea notes, and rich mellow sweetness of the whisky and molasses create a one-of-a-kind punch cocktail!
