2024 Spring Festival: New Beginnings
In the spirit of resilience and renewal, the MFAH also honors its 100th anniversary of opening in 1924, and ushers in the next 100 years. Plan Your Visit | Free Admission Admission is free all day to both the Museum and the Spring Festival activities, thanks to the generosity of H-E-B. The festival takes place on the Brown Foundation, Inc. Pick up a map to guide you on a hunt inside the Museum for works of art, acquired over the past 100 years, that represent resilience. The map also takes you along a path starting at the Brown Foundation, Inc.

Saturday Members Tour | 100 Years of Architecture at the MFAH
In April, the MFAH marks 100 years since opening to the public in 1924. Join a docent on this tour exploring the many architectural styles represented throughout the Sarofim Campus. Plan Your Visit Enter the Law Building through the lower-level tunnel system, and meet in the Law Building lobby. This tour covers much of the 14-acre campus. Some stops may be outside, weather permitting.

Celebrating Community: Women’s Empowerment Group Visits the MFAH
May 13, 2020 - Art plays an important role in trauma recovery, and the connection with the MFAH is a positive presence in the lives of our refugee community. What were some highlights of the visit? Refugee women can lack the confidence to visit public institutions alone, especially when they haven’t yet mastered English. We have over 40 refugee women in our group and most need help with transport, so our amazing volunteer team drove the women and their children to the Museum. Everyone was buzzing with excitement.
