Hirsch Library

The Hirsch Library is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday. Appointments are strongly recommended, and face masks are expected. Information about reopening procedures and policies is available here.

Since the 1920s, the Hirsch Library has served the Museum staff, art researchers, college students, and the public by collecting, providing access to, and preserving information about the visual arts.

Visiting the Hirsch Library is free of charge to all individuals interested in visual-arts research.

The Hirsch Library is closed on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and the following holidays. Before selected holiday weekends, the library closes at 5 p.m. on Thursday and is closed on Saturday. Call or email for more information.
