The Annihilation of Fish
Poinsettia (Lynn Redgrave) moves into a Los Angeles boarding house where she meets Fish (the late, great James Earl Jones), a Jamaican widower just released from an institution. In the face of personal challenges and differences, they learn new things about themselves through the nuances of romance and happiness. Margot Kidder has a memorable role as the spirited landlady. Celebrated filmmaker Charles Burnett’s (Killer of Sheep) recently restored drama is a funny, tender study of outsiders and misfits finding love and acceptance through a healthy dose of tolerance.
