American Made: 250 Years of American Art at the MFAH

In conjunction with the exhibition American Made: 250 Years of American Art at the MFAH, MFAH Films presents free screenings of the Robert Frank/Alfred Leslie short Pull My Daisy and Frank’s This Song for Jack. 

Since 1986, the MFAH has served as the archive and distributor of film and video by the internationally renowned Swiss-born photographer and filmmaker Robert Frank. New York Times film critic Manohla Dargis has called Frank “one of the most important and influential American independent filmmakers of the last half-century.” Best known for his photographs, Frank gained worldwide attention in the 1950s with his book The Americans. He turned to filmmaking in 1959 when he codirected the experimental Pull My Daisy with Alfred Leslie.
