May 2025
Each month, MFAH members are invited to take part in special Saturday tours of the Museum and learn more about a variety of revolving topics.
In May, enjoy a docent-led tour of Harry Bertoia: Echoes in Space. Italian immigrant Harry Bertoia was at the vanguard of American post-WWII Modernism. This installation, drawn largely from the MFAH collections, traces his extraordinary sculptural pursuits in metal. Among the works on view are three sound sculptures—one more than 11 feet tall—highlighting Bertoia’s aural and visual achievements. Unique sound activations are a special highlight of the tour.
