Patron-Plus Members Reception | “Toshiko Takaezu: Worlds Within”

MFAH members at the Patron, Supporting, Sponsor, Benefactor, and Leadership Circle levels are invited to enjoy an exclusive after-hours reception, celebrating the new exhibition Toshiko Takaezu: Worlds Within.

Centered around Toshiko Takaezu’s captivating ceramics, this exhibition offers a comprehensive portrait of the artist’s life and work, including monumental pieces from the acclaimed Star Series. Charting the development of her hybrid practice over seven decades, Worlds Within features more than 100 works of art in stunning installations often inspired by those Takaezu created during her lifetime. Rarely seen paintings and weavings are also on display.

  • The exhibition, on the lower level of the Beck Building, is open during the reception.
  • Recommended location for parking is the Beck Garage. NOTE: After 5 p.m., the only Museum parking is at the Beck Garage.

The exhibition is co-curated by Noguchi Museum curator Kate Wiener, independent curator Glenn Adamson, and sound artist and composer Leilehua Lanzilotti. The exhibition was conceived and developed with former Noguchi Museum Senior Curator Dakin Hart.
