MFAH members are invited to an exclusive lecture with the co-curators of Meiji Modern: Fifty Years of New Japan.
“Tigers, Skeletons, and Crystal Balls: New Insights from the World of Meiji Japan”
Bradley Bailey, the Ting Tsung and Wei Fong Chao Curator of Asian Art at the MFAH, speaks with Chelsea Foxwell, associate professor of art history and director of the Center for East Asian Studies at the University of Chicago. They discuss new findings related to Meiji masterpieces on display in the exhibition. The talk features multimedia elements, including special guest performances.
