This special event celebrates the career of El DeBarge, who is presented with the National Joe Sample Award, and also pays tribute to the lasting impact of Joe Sample’s legacy. The Joe Sample Soundstage, a program by iFest USA in partnership with UNESCO, celebrates jazz as a unifying global art form. This presentation honors an individual who has significantly shaped international jazz culture, with insights from scholars, critics, and industry experts.

- This event takes place in Brown Auditorium Theater on the lower level of the Law Building, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Parking is available in the Beck Garage, but not in the Kinder or Glassell Garage because of another event at the Museum.
