This installment of the 2024–2025 Core Program Lecture Series features Selby Nimrod, director of exhibitions and commons at MIT’s School of Architecture + Planning. She discusses her work at the institution’s List Visual Arts Center, new directions in her practice, and collaborating with architects, urbanists, designers, and artists.

About the Speaker
As assistant curator at the List Visual Arts Center, Selby Nimrod organized first museum solo exhibitions with artists including Kite, Hana Miletić, Lex Brown, Alison Nguyen, Carlos Reyes, Sharona Franklin, Azza El Siddique, and Cindy Ji Hye Kim. As an independent curator, she organized exhibitions, screenings, and performances at the International Studio and Curatorial Program, the Kitchen; Hessel Museum of Art; the Seton Gallery; and a swimsuit factory. Nimrod is visiting faculty at MassArt for 2024–2025; has received a Étant donnés curatorial research fellowship from the French American Cultural Exchange; and has served as a guest critic in the sculpture departments at the Yale University School of Art and at SMFA Tufts.
