The Children’s Texas Art Festival celebrates art—created by and for children—that helps forge a connection to Texas and American heritage.

1–5 p.m. | Archaeology Now Houston presents Pioneer Texas Encounters, an interactive exploration station.

1–5 p.m. | Painter Joseph Dixon presents a painting demonstration.

1–5 p.m. | Raum Furniture presents a woodworking demonstration.

1–5 p.m. | Houston Area Blacksmith Association presents a forging demonstration.

1–4:30 p.m. | Calmecac Indigenous Organization presents drumming, artwork viewings, and conversations.

1:30 & 3 p.m. | Performance by HSPVA String Quartet.

1–4:45 p.m. | Houston Junior Woman’s Club hosts leading activities based on the lives of historical children inside the Bayou Bend house.
Education programs at Bayou Bend receive generous funding from Houston Junior Woman's Club; Sharon G. Dies; Mary Lynn and Steve Marks; Susan Vaughan Foundation; Ralph H. and Ruth J. McCullough Foundation; Ms. Bobbie Nau; and additional generous donors.
