New digital restorations bring the opportunity to experience a selection of early films by the renowned team of James Ivory, Ismail Merchant, and Ruth Prawer Jhabvala. Legendary actress Madhur Jaffrey (born 1933) and actor Shashi Kapoor (1938–2017) offer especially memorable performances. This film series is inspired by the Museum’s groundbreaking exhibition Peacock in the Desert: The Royal Arts of Jodhpur, India.
