Experience the convergence of art and poetry in a special series commemorating the conclusion of the exhibition Kehinde Wiley: An Archaeology of Silence. In this performance, Outspoken Bean presents original poems in response to the art in the exhibition.

About the Speaker
Emanuelee Outspoken Bean is a dynamic artist and influential mentor in the world of poetry and performance. He was named Houston‘s Poet Laureate in 2023 and received the Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowship in 2022. With a commitment to nurturing emerging talents, Bean has dedicated 14 years as the head coach of Meta-Four Houston, reflected in their success at the Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam in 2023.
