The MFAH presents an outdoor movie viewing experience: Moonlight Movies under the stars on the sloping roof of the Glassell School of Art in the Amphitheater on The Brown Foundation, Inc. Plaza.

Cult favorite Monty Python and the Holy Grail has kept audiences laughing for 50 years. Embark on the satirical search for the Holy Grail with King Arthur and his knights.

Each guest receives a complimentary bag of popcorn, and movie-themed cocktails are available for purchase. Entry to the space begins at 8 p.m., and the film starts at 9 p.m.

Helpful Information

  • A headset is provided to each guest for premium sound quality. 
  • Please do not bring outside food or drink.
  • Seating on the sloping roof is first come, first served.
  • Dress comfortably for Houston weather and backless bench seating. Feel free to bring a stadium seat or cushion.
  • No refunds or exchanges of tickets.
  • Restrooms are available inside the Glassell School of Art.
  • In the event of inclement weather, look to your email for details before coming to the Museum, as cancellation may be necessary. Refunds will be arranged.
  • On these Saturdays, Cafe Leonelli stays open until 7 p.m. Le Jardinier is open until 10 p.m.
  • Pets may not be brought into the Museum; service animals on leashes and under their owners’ control are welcome.
