The conversation takes place in Brown Auditorium Theater on the lower level of the Law Building. On Wednesdays, the Museum is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

About the Speaker
Ruth J. Simmons is a president’s distinguished fellow at Rice University. She previously served as president of Prairie View A&M University, Smith College, and Brown University, where she was the first Black woman to lead an Ivy League school. She also serves on the boards of institutions including the MFAH and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture,
