Meta4 Houston Poetry Grand Slam Finals
Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. This event is the culmination of the Meta4 Slam Series, a free youth poetry competition held across Houston. Vinyl Night | "American Modernism"

Exploring the evolution of American Southern music during a period of profound cultural and musical change, the playlist traces the shifting sounds of genres such as blues, country, gospel, and rock. Valdez is the lead vocalist, artistic director, and producer of Hasaan Olu, a Houston-based fusion project. "American Modernism from the Charles Butt Collection" is organized by the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.
