Dancing Your Roots with the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society
Jan 18, 2019 - We enjoy our dancing and do our best to show it! Drop in for the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society’s gallery performance on Thursday, January 24! Since Queen Elizabeth II is the patron of our society, which was granted royal status in 1951, we feel a connection with the Windsors. Another dance in our program was written in 2012 in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee. What can MFAH audiences expect to see?

Since we have several shorts programs coming up, I've been thinking about short-form filmmaking lately.

To provide a fresh experience for our participants, we choose works that feature an array of cultures, media, and time periods. Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Houston Cinema Arts Festival
Oct 26, 2018 - Opening-night films have often featured musical performances, which I like to add in order to accentuate the liveness of our events. Many, if not most, of my greatest HCAF memories over the past 10 years took place at the MFAH, which has hosted HCAF screenings since our beginning. Over the years, our programming at the MFAH has included major upcoming theatrical releases, many of which went on to gain Academy Award recognition.
