Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Houston Cinema Arts Festival
Oct 26, 2018 - Opening-night films have often featured musical performances, which I like to add in order to accentuate the liveness of our events. Many, if not most, of my greatest HCAF memories over the past 10 years took place at the MFAH, which has hosted HCAF screenings since our beginning. Over the years, our programming at the MFAH has included major upcoming theatrical releases, many of which went on to gain Academy Award recognition.

The children are not always able to visit the museum in person, so Art for the Mind and Spirit has to be creative with its teaching materials. “What I take away with me from every visit is the awareness of just how much the artistic process can affect a child’s mood in a positive way.
