Dec 6, 2012 - She later recalled a visit to this shrine as a pivotal experience: “We sat there for half an hour, and it was like a living theater . . . I said to myself, I must do something like that.” Frank Stella Frank Stella and Monir Sharoudy Farmanfarmaian met when Stella made his second visit to Tehran in 1974 and, in turn, she sought him out in New York later that year. Inserts of reverse-painted glass allow for further elaborations in color and design. Farmanfarmaian both adds to and boldly redefines this practice.

Night at the MFAH: Kaleidoscope of Color

Plan Your Visit This concert is included with Museum admission. The performance takes place in the Atrium on Level 1 of the Beck Building, near the exhibition galleries. He also composed music for Lifeblood, a video and installation by Tania Candiani at the Blaffer Art Museum in Houston. His debut album, The Biggest Love, is scheduled for release later this year.
