The exhibition is located on the Lower Level of the Beck Building. The exhibition traces a path through Buddhist wisdom using both ancient sculpture and contemporary art to illuminate the ecological and ethical questions of our time. MFAH members at the Patron, Supporting, Sponsor, Benefactor, and Leadership Circle levels are invited to an exclusive preview of Buddha / Nature: Five Dialogues on Our Shared World before it opens to the public.

Bayou Bend is the MFAH house museum for American decorative arts and paintings. Open year-round, Bayou Bend welcomes thousands of visitors annually for tours and special programs. In the event of inclement weather, this event moves indoors to the McNair Education Court on the lower level of the Kinder Building. The Black Woman Project, founded by Tarren Everette, is a nonprofit rooted in creating safe spaces for healing and healthy conversations for exploring the many nuances that affect Black women.

Among the highlights are rarely displayed marble portrait busts and statues of the men and women who shaped the Roman world of Trajan’s dynasty, as well as vivid frescoes and ornate furnishings from Roman villas.
