Preparations Begin

Art handlers carefully relocated a few artworks from the Cullen Sculpture Garden to storage, and the architects finalized designs for the school. Meanwhile, over the summer, workers dug underground along Montrose, and across to Main, to open passages and install piping for the new power lines that will serve the expanded campus.

This month, Trevor Boyd, associate conservator of objects and sculpture, discusses the rare 18th-century Hall Chair designed for Chiswick House in London by English architect and artist William Kent. Education programs at Rienzi receive generous funding from the Sterling-Turner Foundation; Alkek and Williams Foundation; Carroll Sterling and Harris Masterson III Endowment; and the Caroline Wiess Law Endowment for Rienzi.
