Virtual Cinema 2020 | An Award-Winning Year for Films January 1, 2021

Celebrate a year of top-notch films curated by the MFAH film department. Virtual Cinema features new offerings along with movies originally scheduled for Brown Auditorium Theater at the Museum. The 2020 Virtual Cinema lineup reflects some of the best-reviewed films of the year.

IndieWire’s list of “The 50 Best Movies of 2020” counts down the films voted on by more than 230 film critics. The result is the best-of-the best in the realm of cinema, and it includes several films from the Museum’s #MFAHatHome Virtual Cinema run-of-show.

Revisit the year’s cinematic highlights, such as Bacurau, Beanpole, City Hall, and Martin Eden, all of which made the 2020 IndieWire Critics Poll.

Stay tuned to Virtual Cinema throughout 2021 for more streaming opportunities that bring critically acclaimed, award-winning movies to the Houston film scene.
