They don’t need a lot of fertilizer to grow and bloom. They don’t need direct sunlight, and if grown in the house an artificial light will do. Plants want to grow and are always fighting back—you might just need to give them a little help. Most of all, enjoy your garden. Plant what you like, from vegetables to flowers.

Celebrating the art of the Qurʾan and the publication of the book Sea of Ink, Forest of Pens: The Art of the Qurʾan in the Hossein Afshar Collection, this presentation highlights a dozen masterworks that span the 7th to 19th century Highlights Folio from a Qurʾan ManuscriptWritten in Hijazi script style on parchment, this mid-7th-century folio from Saudi Arabia is from one of the earliest copies of the Qurʾan, of which only pages and fragments survive.

Henry Ossawa Tanner: Modern Spirit
A survey of more than 100 works, Modern Spirit includes 12 paintings that have never been shown in a Tanner retrospective, as well as the only two known sculptures that Tanner completed. The son of a former slave, Tanner trained in Philadelphia under American artist Thomas Eakins and went on to achieve international success. Also featured is the artist’s famed Resurrection of Lazarus, a career-making canvas on loan from the collection of the Musée d'Orsay that earned Tanner his first international praise in 1897.
