Roman Vishniac Retrospective Opens at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, in September
Sep 2, 2015 - “For more than 70 years, Roman Vishniac has been known for his iconic images of Jewish life in prewar Eastern Europe,” said Gary Tinterow, Museum director. It is made possible with support from the National Endowment for the Arts. Photomicroscopy became Vishniac’s primary focus for the last 45 years of his life.

Sep 28, 2020 - Traditionally, for a beverage to be classified as “punch,” it should contain five ingredients. Kick off fall with a delicious punch recipe celebrating punch bowls and punch pots in the collection at Rienzi, the MFAH house museum for European decorative arts. Christine Gervais, Rienzi’s director, chose images from the Rienzi Collection to accompany a recipe for Fish House Punch shared by Harold Madison, the event/beverage manager at the MFAH.
