“Lotería” Game Night | Inspired by the MFAH Art Collections
All ages are welcome, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Play for a chance to win prizes like H-E-B tote bags, socks, tortilla-scented candles, and gift cards. MFAH Lotería uses a specially created traditional Latinx game board, similar to bingo, and features 54 works of art. Lecture | Artist Talk with Rafael Lozano-Hemmer
Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. This endowment funds a yearly program at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, that focuses on Mexican art and artists. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston welcomes artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer for a lecture discussing his career trajectory, influences on his work, and current projects like the installation at Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern.

Using a nonlinear narrative structure inspired by the ancient “crankie” visual device, Hillerbrand and Magsamen physically control a scroll of backlit paper while Kirk Lynn narrates, manipulating time by slowing, speeding, pausing The result is a dynamic journey that mirrors the fragmented, nonlinear ways people experience time, memory, and personal growth.
