In the Beginning
Nov 3, 2011 - My imagination jumped instead to moving images and the implication for cataloguing. Executive Office of the President, “better men” than I have been working on it. I know because, try as I might, I have only scratched the surface on the research and projects conducted by the U.S. The potential dawned on me about ten years ago when I discovered that academic researchers were testing blob recognition for, as one example, distinguishing urban scenes from seascapes.

Glassell-on-the-Go Brings a World of Art to Houston-Area Students
Jul 24, 2017 - The installation features work by middle school students from the African American Library at the Gregory School; the Carnegie Neighborhood Library and Center for Learning; and KIPP Voyage Academy for Girls. Our teaching artists and faculty bring mobile art classes to schools and community centers, encouraging students to create works of art using high-quality materials and tools. At the end of the school year, participating students and their families visit the MFAH to explore the galleries and make works of art in the studio together. Glassell-on-the-Go just completed its second year!
