Night at the MFAH: Kaleidoscope of Color
Visit the Namai trunk show at the MFA Shop on Level 1 of the Beck Building. Tickets $40 per person Free for MFAH members. Members at the Individual level are eligible for one free ticket. Concert | The Biggest Brandon “Floating World: A.A.Murakami”
Plan Your Visit This concert is included with Museum admission. The performance takes place in the Atrium on Level 1 of the Beck Building, near the exhibition galleries. He also composed music for Lifeblood, a video and installation by Tania Candiani at the Blaffer Art Museum in Houston. His debut album, The Biggest Love, is scheduled for release later this year. The Characters of Kenwood: John Joseph Merlin

To see the fabulous renditions of these personalities up close, visit the exhibition—organized by the American Federation of Arts and English Heritage—while it is on view at the MFAH this summer. John Joseph Merlin, for instance, was an ingenious inventor and maker of musical instruments, and he’s now known as the father of the roller skate.

Lecture | "Spanish Louisiana and the American Revolution"

Spanning 1763 to 1803, this era was one of great transition for the colony. She is the author of Spanish Louisiana: Contest for Borderlands, 1763–1803. She has also contributed to The American Revolutionary War in the West and Atlantic Environments and the American South.
