September 13, 2025MFAH members at the Family Level and above are invited to reserve tickets for an art-making activity led by a teaching artist. Behind-the-Scenes Experience for Benefactor & Leadership Members | Artful Dining with Michelin-Starred Le Jardinier
Plan Your Visit This program takes place in the Wilson Board Room on Level 1 of the Kinder Building. Parking is available on the Lower Level of the Kinder Garage, 5500 Main Street. Le Jardinier earned a Michelin star in the inaugural Michelin Guide for Texas in 2024, making the MFAH only the second American museum to house a Michelin-starred restaurant. Questions?

He coproduced both Guaraní and Chicas Nuevas 24 Horas, which was Goya-nominated for Best Documentary, in 2015. We did some quick spot tests to decide the best method for removal of the graffiti and waited for permission to proceed. By lunchtime it was well over 100 degrees outside, and the sculpture was even hotter. After speaking with Will, we contacted a Houston Arts Alliance staff member who deals with conservation issues for sculptures in Houston’s public parks.

Gallery Talk at Rienzi | “Hall Chair” for Chiswick House
October 19, 2023 Learn more about the works of art at Rienzi, the MFAH house museum for European decorative arts. This month, Trevor Boyd, associate conservator of objects and sculpture, discusses the rare 18th-century Hall Chair designed for Chiswick House in London by English architect and artist William Kent. Education programs at Rienzi receive generous funding from the Sterling-Turner Foundation; Alkek and Williams Foundation; Carroll Sterling and Harris Masterson III Endowment; and the Caroline Wiess Law Endowment for Rienzi.
