May 9, 2017 - “While each was conceived independently, together they achieve a new synergy as they coalesce into a greater whole. Each light is controlled by a video signal so that the “forest” is constantly changing, sometimes shifting in a staccato rhythm, and sometimes in sinuous waves of color. Worry Will Vanish (2014), a two-channel video that runs in ten-minute cycles, will be projected onto the south and west walls of Cullinan Hall, taking viewers into a fantastic dreamscape where the body and nature become one.

In reality, A Pigeon more closely resembles a composition of short film narratives, woven together through long takes, an emotionally distant camera, a pallid palette, and musical transitions. Each scene is unmistakably Andersson, a perfect balance between the mundane and the absurd, a thin line between the generic and the horrifying.

Nov 17, 2019 - Three hefty hunks of cheese form a backdrop for a heaping platter of seafood. (A lone upended crab supplies a realistic, amusing touch.) An elaborate salt cellar with a generous scoop of salt sits behind cloth-covered bread, typical of a Sabbath meal. A knife, with a Maltese cross on its blade and a handle inlaid with red and blue precious stones, dangles on the edge of the cloth. In the foreground, an overload of cakes practically tumbles off the table.
