    Kristina Neumann (PhD, University of Cincinnati) is a Roman/digital historian, who applies 21st-century technologies and innovative methodologies to analyze the ancient past and advance academic and public engagement with this to Ancient Mediterranean Art (2021), and Seals and Sealings in the Ancient World (2018). Sophie Crawford-Brown (PhD, University of Pennsylvania) is assistant professor of art history and director of the program in Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations at Rice University.

    Willour, the former curator at the Galveston Arts Center, is a regular presence at gallery openings and exhibitions throughout the state. 40 Years of Discovery celebrates the indelible mark Willour has made. The works of art collected by Clint Willour and given to the MFAH over the course of 40 years comprise a key component of the Museum’s collections. His patronage and expertise also extend to the entire Texas art community. He has also given more than 2,500 books to the Museum’s Hirsch Library. The art that appeals to Willour varies in style and media but always demonstrates superior craftsmanship and unique energy.

  10. The David B. Warren Houston Antiques Symposium “American Roots: Genealogy in the Decorative Arts"

Established by the MFAH to honor Bayou Bend’s founding director emeritus, the David B. Warren Symposium has been presented biennially since 2007.
