Oct 18, 2018 - In February 1952, she sat for esteemed portrait photographer Dorothy Wilding for images to mark the queen’s ascension and coronation. This portrait was commissioned by Sir Henry Lee as part of an elaborate plan for the queen to forgive him for living with his mistress. The resulting portraits, 59 in all, were sent to embassies worldwide, and were later adapted for use on banknotes and stamps.

Models in period costumes pose for a life-drawing session, and Hollie Stephan, an instructor at the Glassell School of Art, assists participants of all skill levels. Education programs at Rienzi receive generous funding from the Sterling-Turner Foundation; Alkek and Williams Foundation; Carroll Sterling and Harris Masterson III Endowment; and the Caroline Wiess Law Endowment for Rienzi.
