At a hot-dog stand in Lapland she meets Darian, an Iranian who needs to marry a Finnish woman to gain asylum for himself and his daughter. The award-winning debut feature by writer/director Valentina Maurel focuses on Eva, a 16-year-old girl who lives with her mother, her younger sister, and their cat, but who wants to move in with her estranged father. Construction does not affect access to Lynn Wyatt Theater in the Kinder Building. What was the psychological connection between events in Degas’s life and his decision to take up the camera? Degas made a simple mistake failing to note which plate holders he had already used, accidentally double-exposing two negatives instead of properly exposing four.

The “Confident Exuberance” of Louise Nevelson & Dorothy Hood
Nov 2, 2018 - Which works of art in Kindred Spirits speak to one another? Why does the exhibition title refer to the two artists as “Kindred Spirits”? To the best of our knowledge, Louise Nevelson and Dorothy Hood never met, although their lives intersected in interesting ways. She taught at the MFAH Museum School from 1962 to 1979, and she became one of this city’s most celebrated painters.
