Liz Carpenter (1920–2010) was a feisty Texan who became a trailblazing journalist, White House official, author, humorist, political activist, and feminist leader. Often front and center as history was unfolding, in the 1960s she served as executive assistant to President Lyndon B. Johnson and as press secretary to Lady Bird Johnson. This award-winning documentary is co-directed by Carpenter’s daughter, Christy, who is scheduled to attend the screening.
