Taiwanese artist Nymphia Wind takes part in a conversation and presentation with curator Bradley Bailey about translating performance practice into material objects and a physical gallery space. Topics include the history of Taiwanese music and dance, traditional attire, and how the fabricated public-facing persona of “Nymphia Wind” fits within the larger context and history of other performance artists and alternate personae.

About the Speaker
Nymphia Wind is an internationally acclaimed drag artist and winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16. They have been featured on the cover of Vogue Taiwan and were named in Forbes' "30 Under 30 Asia." Nymphia continues to bring Taiwanese artistry to global stages, using drag as a platform for cultural storytelling and representation.
Bradley Bailey is the Ting Tsung and Wei Fong Chao Curator of Asian Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
