Following the film, stay for a discussion with co-director Meg Griffiths, a Pulitzer Prize–nominated journalist formerly with the “Houston Chronicle”; and co-director Scott Faris. The discussion is moderated by two-time Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist Lisa Falkenberg, the “Houston Chronicle” Senior Columnist–Texas.

This timely environmental documentary follows Dr. Ayne Amjad, who becomes an unlikely heroine when she takes up her late father’s cause: a decades-long struggle to aid a West Virginia town beset with cancer-causing chemicals. Haunted by her father’s mandate to help others, Amjad hatches an audacious plan to relocate the town’s 250 residents and bring closure to her father’s work.
