The Biggest Brandon performs a concert inspired by the exhibition Floating World: A.A.Murakami. On Late Fridays at the MFAH, visitors can experience an electronica concert capturing ethereal themes from the exhibition through immersive soundscapes that are both contemporary and deeply rooted. The Biggest Brandon is a Houston-born vocalist, genre-blending multi-instrumentalist, and musical artist whose work bridges soul, jazz, R&B, classical, and experimental sound—centering emotional presence, atmospheric beauty, and the storytelling power of Black musical traditions.
A groundbreaking fusion of the technical and the natural, Floating World transports you to an ethereal world of singular experience and scientific spectacle.

About the Performers
The Biggest Brandon is a Houston-born vocalist with a deep command of voice, piano, flute, production, and arrangement, he fuses genres to reflect personal truth and cultural legacy. A graduate of Kinder HSPVA and Prairie View A&M University, Brandon has created original music for exhibitions by renowned artist Carrie Mae Weems, including The Shape of Things at Park Avenue Armory and Land of Broken Dreams, a nationally touring installation. He also composed music for Lifeblood, a video and installation by Tania Candiani, presented at the Blaffer Art Museum. His debut album The Biggest Love will be released later this year, and his music is available on all major streaming platforms.
