Learn the beautiful art of Bojagi wrapping with renowned artist Ellen Lee in this engaging, hands-on workshop. This special program, co-hosted by the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles, invites participants to learn the techniques of wrapping, carrying, and storing objects using these beautiful cloths. Focusing on a centuries-old part of Korean culture, Lee’s workshops share the cultural tradition behind Bojagi while also teaching the art and methods behind these stunning knots and elegant folds.
All necessary materials are provided, with two types of Bojagi prepared for each participant. In addition, Lee’s exclusive Bojagi merchandise is available for purchase at the MFA Shop. At 2 p.m., following the workshop, take a special guided tour of the Arts of Korea Gallery to explore the new renovations that opened this May.
Plan Your Visit
- Space is limited, and registration is required. To RSVP, please email [email protected] and indicate your preferred time slot. Workshops are held every 30 minutes at 12 noon, 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.
- The workshop takes place at the MFA Shop in the Kinder Building.
- The Arts of Korea Gallery is located in the Law Building.

About Korean Cultural Center of Los Angeles
The Korean Cultural Center of Los Angeles (KCCLA) is operated by the Korean government's Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and is dedicated to providing insights into the rich cultural heritage of Korea. About Nossi and Ellen Lee
Nossi is a Los Angeles-based workshop dedicated to the Korean tradition of Bojagi, a versatile and reusable wrapping cloth. In Korean culture, wrapping, carrying, and storing items in cloth reflects a deeply rooted practice that honors tradition. At Nossi, participants learn the art of crafting both traditional and modern knots with various Bojagi, acquiring practical skills that can be easily integrated into daily life.
Ellen Lee, a former Korea Times writer with 12 years of experience, connects Korean and American cultures through her work. Lee founded Nossi in order to continue this dialogue. She is also a skilled food stylist, collaborating with brands like Sempio, Bibigo, and Disney.
