A French tycoon’s accident-prone daughter is kidnapped in Acapulco. Her father hires a private detective (Gérard Depardieu) to go to Mexico, but realizes he also needs the assistance of an accountant (Pierre Richard), whose entire life has been an endless series of mishaps, to find the girl.
