Preparations Begin

Art handlers carefully relocated a few artworks from the Cullen Sculpture Garden to storage, and the architects finalized designs for the school. Meanwhile, over the summer, workers dug underground along Montrose, and across to Main, to open passages and install piping for the new power lines that will serve the expanded campus.

Afruz Amighi: Abodes of Solace
Drawing upon traditions within religious architecture, Amighi explores the primacy of hybridity in her structures while using light to activate our sense of the sacred. Amighi’s large-scale sculptural work, 99 Names, is on view in the Hossein Afshar Galleries for Art of the Islamic Worlds. Plan Your Visit Free with Museum admission.
