Peter Fischli and David Weiss: Büsi (Kitty)
Originally commissioned for display in New York City’s Times Square, the video shows a house cat, filmed close up, lapping milk from a saucer, with light striking its fur to create a halo. However, the duo was not out for cheap laughs. “Büsi was not made as a discussion about kitsch,” Fischli said. “There was just something super-nice about this cat that we were attracted to.”

2016 Core Exhibition
The Core Program at the Glassell School of Art receives generous funding from The Joseph and Sylvia Slifka Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. The 2016 Core Exhibition is on display in the Audrey Jones Beck Building at the MFAH while the new facility for the Glassell School of Art, designed by Steven Holl Architects, is under construction.
