Houston, Texas – November 7, 2024 – The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, announces the launch and registration dates for the Glassell School of Art Emerging Artists: Early College Program for high school students with a deep passion for art and a desire to pursue it at the college level. “The Early College Program represents a vital extension of our mission to engage artists of all ages and backgrounds, offering young artists the chance to explore their creative potential within our dynamic community. Throughout the new 14-week program, students are able to gain college credit through a program with University of St. Thomas, learn from experienced faculty at Glassell, build a portfolio, and also receive free access to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston’s permanent collection. The program includes courses in a variety of different mediums, including painting, printmaking, jewelry, analog photography, fashion, ceramics, digital media and more.
