Set in the heartland of Argentina, Where the Trees Bear Meat is a raw and genuine film about an intergenerational family whose love binds them together as they strive to maintain a traditional way of life. Director Alexis Franco tells a story about the community in which he was raised, stating that he strove to “explore the vulnerability of human beings in the vastness, the dynamics of generations in those places, their experiences with solitude and silence, and their spiritual beliefs.” This Houston premiere follows screenings on the international festival circuit.
