Vitality Arts Workshops

This free, monthly series for adults ages 55 and over celebrates the power of creative aging and lifelong learning through hands-on artistic experiences.

► This event is sold out.

In this hands-on workshop geared toward older adults, participants learn the fundamentals of painting through the creation of still life compositions. Projects examine how artists incorporate fibers into their work to create richly detailed, textured compositions. Building on these techniques, attendees explore functional collage and learn how to enhance their own paintings using fiber-based materials such as fabric and paper.

This workshop is part of the Vitality Arts series presented by the Glassell School of Art, in partnership with the Community Artists' Collective and its Jubilee Quilt Circle. This program receives generous support from E.A. Michelson Philanthropy.

No prior experience is needed. All materials are provided at no cost. Lunch and refreshments are included.
